LA-born & raised Latinx pushing the boundaries of storytelling

Darlene Barahona is a game & narrative designer, instructional designer, technical writer, and dungeon master based in the desert heatscapes of Los Angeles.

Formally educated in cultural anthropology, Darlene has been working in EdTech for five years with the goal of using interactive narratives to strengthen educational solutions. Darlene has worked in crafting stories for video games, instructional design, education, marketing, and the performing arts.

Now, Darlene hopes to further develop her technical skills in order to develop her own interactive experiences for education, XR, digital games, tabletop games, installations, and any new medium that pushes the storytelling envelope.
